Jae-Myung Lee

Professor & Director of Pusan National University

Jae-Myung Lee is professor of Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and director of Hydrogen Ship Technology Center at Pusan National University. He obtained his BSc, MSc degree in Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Pusan National University in Korea in 1994, 1996 and PhD degree in Ship and Ocean Engineering from University of Tokyo in Japan in 1999. His research interests are focused on cryogenic liquefied-gas (LNG and LH2) storage system and hydrogen ship.

Before joining Pusan National University in 2002, he worked as Principal Research Engineer at Samsung Heavy Industries. He is the author of more than 250 publications, including contract reports and more than 160 peer reviewed SCI journal papers, where Jae-Myung Lee is deputy editor of ‘Ocean Engineering’ and ‘Metals’. He is currently planning director of Hydrogen Ship Promotion Team (Busan Metropolitan City), and is member or chair of several government committees including Hydrogen Technology Roadmap (MSIT) and Future Green Ship Technology Roadmap (MOTIE).
