Per E. Schwarze is Department Director for the Department of Air Pollution and Noise, Norwegian Institute of Public Health. He has worked for more than 25 years in the field of indoor and outdoor pollution and noise and has published more than 200 papers and book chapters. He has also participated and led several international collaboration projects on environment and health, including a project on the impact of air pollution on health and welfare in the Nordic countries. He has a Ph.D. in cancer cell biology.
