Prof. Myunhoon Kang’s research interests include political institutions, political behaviors, political economy, public policy, and environmental policy. Recently, he has been working on just transition and its social and political acceptability.
Myunghoon Kang earned his BA in political science and economics, MA in political science from Seoul National University, and Ph.D. in political science from Washington University in St. Louis. He was a postdoctoral associate at the W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy at the University of Rochester (2019-2020), an assistant professor of political science and public administration at Bilkent University (2020-2021), and an assistant professor of political science and diplomacy at Myongji University (2021-2023). His research articles appeared in Energy Research and Social Science, Journal of Theoretical Politics, Political Science Research and Methods, Presidential Studies Quarterly, and Research and Politics.
